The Department of
Pediatrician Neurology of
the Russian Medical Academy of Postgraduate Education
was organized in 1965. Professor Maria B.
Tsucker was a head of the Department till 1974. She was an author of the
first Russian handbooks of Pediatrician Neurology and
Neuro-infections. Professor Eugeny S. Bondarenko headed the department from
1974 till 1999. He was an editor of the doctors’ manual of Pediatrician
Neurology (consisted of 3 volumes). Professor Valery
P. Zykov has been the head of the department since 1999. He is an author of
handbooks of child’s tics and the treatment of neurological diseases in
children (2002, 2003). THE
